Crouch Cottage is a 300 year old, newly refurbished fisherman's cottage with all the amenities of modern life. Two minutes from the front door is Fisherman's Bank which is an ideal place to learn to sail or windsurfers the harbour is very swallow. With spectacular views across Stanpit Nature Reserve or out to Hengistbury Head make it a perfect place to paint or draw or just to watch the wildlife and harbour life. From tlie cottage it is a fifteen minute walk down to Avon Beach and the picturesque Mudeford Quay with its lobster pots, fisherman's cottages and inn.

This is a great place to watch the fisherman unloading their catches or to have a ferry ride across to Hengistbury Head with its golden beach or catch another ferry up the river to Christchurch Quay and into the Historic town of Christchurch with its ancient treasures, fascinating heritage, riverside walks and 11th Century Priory Church. There is an excellent range of restaurants, pubs, cafes, tea rooms and takeaways. There are many festivals and events which take place throughout the year and a large weekly Monday Market.
