The Alum Dene Hotel, originally a Victorian residence built in 1884, was converted to a hotel in the 1950s and still retains many of its original features. David and Rita have run this family buisiness for over 14 years.

Ensuring that guests can look forward to a relaxing and enjoyable stay the proprietors, David and Rita, create a warm and happy atmosphere by providing good, efficient and friendly personal service, always.

Bournemouth, on the south coast of England, is an elegant and attractive coastal resort in a south facing sheltered bay with seven miles of golden sands.

Bournemouth offers several non-smoking beaches, sandy beaches and zoned watersports. Restaurants, cafes and family diners are much in evidence along the mainly traffic free promenade. Alum Chine offers the ideal location to explore both Bournemouth and nearby Poole.

The surrounding Dorset countryside is designated as an "Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty", with the Dorset Heritage Coast and The New Forest within easy reach by bus, train or car. Local attractions include the beaches at Sandbanks and Studland, the gardens at Compton Acres, Poole Quay and Poole Harbour, including the famous Brownsea Island.
