Located in an idyllic setting on The Quay is Poole Pottery’s working studio. At our Poole Pottery shop you will experiencethe history, quality and personality of Poole Pottery and also see the famous modellers and artists at work. Something for all the familiy to enjoy, Poole Pottery Studio is a feature of Poole and is open all year round. On the ground floor you can watch several skilled artists at work. Alan White, our Master Potter, can be seen at his wheel throwing clay and creating unique, but classic shapes. Alan has appeared on TV many times and has been associated with Poole for over 40 years. His designs and shapes are sought after by collectors worldwide. Jane Brewer, Nikki Massarella and Lorna Whitmarsh are three of our designers and artists. You can see Jane, Nikki and Lorna at work decorating pieces of Poole Pottery. As well as helping to design new collections, they also decorate one off pieces which are available for sale in the shop on The Quay. These one off pieces are highly sought after by collectors.
